Hi! I am Marilu
A bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Texas and California. A Los Angeles native and graduate of Mount Saint Mary’s University-Los Angeles, I have over 10 years of experience working as a therapist with diverse populations.
I specialize in helping adolescents with academic anxiety, grief, loss, and parental separation, as well as supporting adults with anxiety, stress, and depression. I also provide therapy to perinatal populations, including new moms that may be experiencing postpartum anxiety and depression.
Using a client-centered, solution-focused approach combined with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) modalities, we'll work together to identify patterns contributing to your presenting issues. I believe in the power of self-awareness and building coping skills to navigate life’s challenges and foster resilience.
In my spare time, I enjoy visiting different coffee shops in Austin, sewing, playing board games, and traveling with my family.
