Therapy for immigrants and life between two cultures
Moving to another country changes everything: your language, your work, your family, the way you relate to people and even how you see yourself. Even when it was a choice you wanted, it also brings losses, exhaustion and moments of deep loneliness.
All of our therapists went through their own immigration journey. We know what it's like to be in two places at once.
What many people bring to therapy
Missing family and feeling guilty for being far away
Feeling like you don't belong here or there
Stress from starting over at work or school
Cultural clashes with a partner, children or in-laws
Kids growing up with a different culture and language
Anxiety or sadness that shows up months or years after arriving
How we support you
We offer a space where you don't have to translate your experience. You can speak Spanish, English or whatever mix comes naturally. We work on the emotional side of immigration, grieving what you left behind, building a new support network and the identity that forms between two cultures.
If you also need a psychological evaluation for an immigration case, we offer those too. Learn about our psychological evaluations.
